Courtlough fishery is Ireland’s newest Rainbow trout fishery, working off 4 acres of spring fed lakes in a naturally rural setting, yet only 25 minutes from Dublin city.

We can offer fly fishing for fully finned superb quality rainbow trout from 1lb to 15 lb on our 3.5 acre main lake, or bait fishing on our smaller ‘Junior’ pond.

Our water is gin clear and provides the added thrill of seeing the fish follow and attack your fly. Our main lake runs to a depth of 20 feet, with an abundance of natural fly and invertebrate life to keep our trout in prime fighting condition.

We aim to offer an unbeatable angling experience to all of our visitors, be they advanced anglers or absolute novices, with our resident instructor onsite helping to get everyone enjoying the fantastic sport of trout fishing.

For beginners, you need not worry about buying any fishing tackle as we can provide all equipment that you may require for you day; rods, reels, safety equipment etc. It is much better for you that you use our range of tackle to find a set-up that suits your individual style before you commit to buying for yourself.

All visitors may keep up to 1 Kg of fish inclusive in their day ticket; we ask that all fish over 2.2 lb (1 Kg) are returned alive to the water. Barbless flies only on the main lake.

Fly Fishing Tackle Hire is €10 per session.

Junior Lake: Tackle Hire is € 5.00 and then €4.00 per fish.
Tuition: €50 per session (Includes free fishing for rest of the day)
